Living Seasonally: Advice from a Lifelong Ranger

After 42 seasons at Glacier, Chuck Cameron is Retiring

Pack animals, search and rescue, bear team—Chuck Cameron saw it all during his time at Glacier.

His unusual path says a lot about the unusual job that is working for the National Park Service. Equal parts, delightful and stressful, noble, yet often bizarre. But I also think that few people could have had the career that Chuck has. And I want to know how he did it.

This is a full episode produced and released in 2023’s Season Four: Living Seasonally: Advice from a Lifelong Ranger

I tell people I made a career out of not having a career. Basically. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, though. No regrets.
