Surviving the Trapper Fire

In the path of one of the worst fire seasons in a century

2003 was one of the worst fire years in Glacier’s history.

These are the stories of two people who witnessed, and survived the Trapper Fire. One who watched the fire grow, and another who was caught in it’s path.

Excerpted from the episode Confluence | Lake McDonald, from season one of Headwaters. Season One set out to share stories of nature and culture from each major region of Glacier National Park.

It’s just starting to look like a tornado... and it’s coming closer, and closer, and closer...

It’s obvious it’s not going to stop.
